Welcome!!

I would like to welcome those of you reading this!! I will start by saying I am new at blogging and have no idea really how it works!! I have joined a Red, White and Blue No Sew Quilt Block Swap, so what a better time to start a blog than now! I am REALLY excited, I have never done either a swap or blog before but I figured I would them both a try.

Let me tell you a bit about myself and my quilting experience. I have been quilting for about a year and a half but have been sewing since middle school and have been crafty most of my life. I have a dear friend, Angie, who has helped me in my quilting journey. I am very lucky to have her in my life! Angie and I met while we were stationed with our husbands in Alaska, almost 12 yrs ago!!! I am really excited to be able to virtual quilt with her tomorrow!! :o) My husband and I are still living the military life and loving everything it brings to our lives (which has been alot)!

I guess that is all for now!!

  1. Welcome to blogging. I started blogging about 1 year ago and am still learning my way around. From other blogs that I have visited, I guess that I should have a one year anniversary celebration, stop back by to see what I come up with.

  2. Awe...I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful friend to share my passion with. You inspire me to keep at it when I get in a rut and to bounce my ideas off of. Congrats on the new blog...have fun with it! Angie

  3. Glad to see you are blogging. I am an Army wife also. WE are currently stationed in Georgia. Your profile says you are in Wyoming. Is that your home state or do you have some cool Army job? If so I want to know what it is. WE would like to go to a duty station anywhere up north. I am a Kansas girl but I love the traveling I have been able to do since we have been in the military. My husband has been trying to get to Alaska our whole career. We love cold and snow. I look forward to getting to know you better.

  4. Nikki - My husband and I are both from Maine, although he was an Air Force brat for 10yrs. My husband in the Air Force and is currently stationed in Wyoming. We will be here for atleast another 3-4 yrs. How long has your husband been in the Army? Although we haven't been stationed overseas, I have loved being able to travel to see friends while they have been.
